Adele ready to give the fans what they want

It's been more than four years since she released her record-breaking album, but British pop sensation Adele gave fans a taster Sunday of what's to come.

In a commercial break during U.K. reality show X Factor on Sunday evening, a black screen appeared with Adele's voice singing the following lyrics.

"Hello, it's me / I was wondering if after all these years / you'd like to meet to go over everything / they say that time's supposed to heal ya / but I ain't done much healing ...".

The snippet was presumably a teaser of her upcoming album which is set to be released in late November.

Adele's album last album "21", which was released in 2011, saw huge success, selling 8.3 million units globally in 2012 and 18.1 million in 2011, according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. The album was the first to top the global albums chart for two consecutive years. Adele won six Grammy Awards and two Brit Awards for the album.

While the short clip did not give much away, it was enough to get social media excited, with pop band One Republic even tweeting their delight.
