Shares of Maxim Integrated Products jumped Wednesday on a report the company could be a takeover target.
The stock rose more than 7 percent Wednesday afternoon being briefly halted.
Texas Instruments may be in talks to acquire Maxim, Bloomberg reported Wednesday. It follows a report from the outlet earlier this month that said Maxim was in merger talks with Analog Devices.
