With three hours to go until the U.S. market closes, the "Halftime Report" traders discussed the retail stocks on their radars.

Josh Brown was focused on Lowe's, which reports quarterly numbers Wednesday. He said the home improvement chain's stock could be on the verge of a breakout higher.

Joe Terranova was bullish on L Brands, the company behind Victoria's Secret, Bath and Body Works, and Henri Bendel. It's also due to report earnings Wednesday.
