Federal authorities are investigating a new outbreak of illnesses linked to Chipotle Mexican Grill, potentially compounding the problems that have led some customers to flee the chain.
As many as five people in three states may have been sickened in the current outbreak, on top of 53 known cases from a prior outbreak. By at least one measure, the chain's consumer perception has hit an all-time low.
Shares are under pressure too, falling about 30 percent from early October. (What's the stock doing now? Click here)
