The season of giving may have turned into the season of stealing in New Jersey.

Baby Jesus statues have recently been stolen from Nativity scenes at local churches around The Garden State, The Jersey Journal reported.

"It's unfortunate and sad that someone's going to do that," Jim Goodness, a spokesman for the Archdiocese of Newark, told the newspaper.

The religion of millionaires

Goodness also said he thinks teenagers may be responsible, stealing the statues as a prank.
