Buy Google, other stocks built on human capital

Charles Kantor, founder of the Kantor Group at Neuberger Berman, joined CNBC Pro for an exclusive Q&A on his investment strategy.

The bottom-up investor, who has been through multiple business cycles over the span of a two-decade career, shared his views on how to navigate the turbulence this year as well as his approach to finding winning stocks.

During his discussion with CNBC's Mike Santoli, Kantor described why companies that rely on intellectual capital — as opposed to physical capital — will outperform the market in the years ahead. The prominent investor gives multiple examples including Google parent Alphabet and Visa.

Kantor also outlined his "total return" approach to investing and why it works regardless of positive or negative economic periods.

The interview culminates with Kantor answering questions from Pro subscribers.
