Meeks: Socially responsible investing is for real

I've seen investment trends, or fads, come and go over my three decades in this business and I have the lashes on my back to prove it. I went from giving autographs to getting death threats in the internet bubble. Today, I'm as skeptical as it gets.

However, I've done enough homework to conclude that socially responsible investing — specifically, sustainable, responsible and impact investing — truly is the real deal.
