If you're an app developer in the Apple ecosystem, you now have some new toys.

At its worldwide developers conference in San Francisco on Monday, Apple opened up the Siri voice-controlled platform and its Maps software for third-party developers.

Chat apps like Slack and WhatsApp can integrate with Siri as can ridesharing apps like Uber and Lyft. Shutterfly, Pinterest and workout apps are also available with voice controls.

In Maps, the ridesharing services are now integrating, as are restaurant booking services like OpenTable and payment tools.
