CLEVELAND ― Melania Trump tried to cast her husband in a different light than in recent memory on Monday night.

In her speech at the Republican National Convention, Donald Trump's wife said "Donald is intensely loyal. To family, friends, employees, country. He has the utmost respect for his parents, Mary and Fred, to his sisters Maryanne and Elizabeth, to his brother Robert, and to the memory of his late brother Fred."

She also mentioned his children, noting that they've been raised so well "that even his adversaries admit they are an amazing testament to who he is as a man and a father."

"There is a great deal of love in the Trump family," Melania said.

On Thursday, Donald is expected to officially become the Republican presidential nominee.
