Brexit fallout in the U.K. and anticipation of a Federal Reserve rate hike later this year have sent the U.S. dollar index up more than 2 percent this month, putting pressure on the market and some of its largest companies.

Which stocks should investors avoid if the greenback continues its climb, using history as a guide?

Using Kensho, a hedge fund analytics tool, we looked at all the times when the dollar index rose by 5 percent or more in one month during the last decade. Here are the worst and best performers among stocks in the Dow Jones industrial average during those periods of greenback strength.
