DETROIT, Oct 29- Chrysler Group LLC posted an 80 percent rise in quarterly net income on Monday on the back of stronger new vehicle sales, continuing the U.S. automaker's comeback from its 2009 bankruptcy. Chrysler, majority owned by Italy's Fiat SpA, also reaffirmed its outlook for the year.
DETROIT, Oct 29- Ford Motor Co tumbled to nearly the bottom of an annual survey of vehicle reliability due to flaws in its touch-screen navigation and entertainment system, while Japanese rival Toyota Motor Corp swept the top three spots. Debt refinancing and redemption costs reduced third-quarter results by $10.1 million, or 14 cents per share.

DETROIT, Oct 26- U.S. safety regulators are investigating 310,000 Taurus and Mercury Sable cars built by Ford Motor Co over a problem that could cause the throttle to be stuck open. The cars were built for the model years 2000 to 2003 and equipped with 3.0- liter V6 Duratec engines, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.
DETROIT-- Toyota has widened its global sales lead over General Motors after bouncing back from a series of natural disasters. While Toyota's sales rose 28 percent in that period, GM's rose 2.5 percent, to 6.95 million cars and light-duty trucks.

Oct 26- U.S. auto parts supplier American Axle and Manufacturing Holdings Inc reported a surprise quarterly loss, hurt by restructuring and debt refinancing costs. American Axle reported a net loss of $8.2 million, or 11 cents per share, compared with a profit of $22.6 million, or 33 cents per share, a year earlier.
"RoboCop," which has been filming in Toronto, was approved for $294,000 in incentives on $1 million in anticipated in-state spending. The reboot of the classic 1987 cult film with Peter Weller will include shots of Detroit and its landmarks. DETROIT-- Federal safety regulators are investigating some older-model Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable sedans because the throttles can stick. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it has 50 complaints about sticky throttles in the cars from the 2000 through 2003 model years. The Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable and are nearly identical cars.
