Pope Benedict XVI waves to the faithful as he arrives at the St. Peter's Basilica for a mass with newly appointed cardinals on November 25, 2012 in Vatican City, Vatican.

When we first checked in with the oddsmakers at Paddy Power on Monday morning, Canadian Cardinal Mark Ouellet was the odds-on favorite.

Things have changed.

Right now, at pixel time, we're seeing Cardinal Peter Turkson of Ghana in the lead, with 3-1 odds. Ouellet is behind him at 7-2. Nigeria's Cardinal Fracis Arinze is in third with 9- 2, followed by Argentine Cardinal Leonardo Sandri at 6-1. Honduran Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga follows with 7-1.

Which means that no Europeans show up on the list until a pair of Italians who are tied at 8-1.

The oddsmakers seem convinced this will be the first non-European Pope.
