Disney The conglomerate and videogames publisher Electronic Arts announced a multiyear exclusive licensing agreement to develop games based on Star Wars. Financial terms were not disclosed. Shares of both companies rose in extended-hours trading.

First Solar The solar company posted earnings of 69 cents a share on sales of $755 million, versus expectations of 75 cents a share on sales of $725 million. Shares declined in extended-hours trading.

Broadsoft The tech company posted earnings of 18 cents a share of sales of $40 million, beating expectations for 11 cents a share on revenue of $39 million. Shares jumped in extended-hours trading.

Norwegian Cruise Lines The operator posted earnings of 6 cents a share, excluding one-time items, on sales of $529 million, easily beating estimates for 3 cents a share on sales of $506 million. But the company handed in current-quarter and full-year earnings outlooks slightly lighter than expected, sending shares lower in extended-hours trading.

Scotts-Miracle Gro The lawn and garden care products maker posted earnings of $1.60 a share on sales of $1.02 billion, missing expectations for $2 a share on revenue of $1.13 billion. Shares fell in extended-hours trading.

Anadarko The oil and gas exploration company posted earnings of $1.08 a share, excluding one-time items, on sales of $3.89 billion, topping expectations for 94 cents a share on sales of $3.49 billion. Shares edged higher in extended-hours trading.
