A major Apple supplier is under the spotlight after a new report by Chinese worker-rights group China Labor Watch claimed its factories were guilty of labor abuses.
Pegatron is allegedly withholding worker pay or withholding worker ID cards and committing safety and environmental violations at its factories, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.

If the allegations are true, the factories would be in direct violation of Apple's supplier policy. The iPhone maker said in a statement that it is "committed to providing safe and fair worker conditions" in the entire supply chain and said that it would investigate the allegations and take steps to correct any violations found, according to the report.
Pegatron said it will probe the claims and take actions to remedy any violations.
