Happy Friday! What's so happy about it? Why, we've got an all-Flash-Freeze-all-the-time edition of the six-pack today:
We could hear Jim Morrison singing about "weird scenes inside the gold mine" during the whole three-hour Nasdaq outage Thursday. Apparently, weird things were happening at Nasdaq well before the exchange crashed.
And then there are the obligatory crisis-of-confidence pieces abounding. One guy, though, thinks it was only an "outlier" event that, like, hardly ever, ever happens.

Then again, maybe we're all just making too much of this thing. The Nasdaq could shut down for good "and no real harm would be done," according to Felix Salmon at Reuters.
Apparently, that's the good news, because these things are going to just keep happening.
