Tim Maurer is a certified financial planner and the chief advisory officer at SignatureFD, with offices in Atlanta and Charlotte, North Carolina.
A graduate of Towson University, Maurer taught financial planning at his alma mater for seven years and has authored several books. In his third book, "Simple Money," he brings the wisdom of behavioral finance to personal finance. He is a CNBC contributor and also writes for Forbes.
Maurer educates at private events as well as in television, radio, print and online media. He has been featured on NBC's "TODAY," CNBC, ABC's "Nightline" and NPR programs "The Diane Rehm Show" and "Marketplace."
