LSI - Shares rallied in pre-market trading on news that Avago Technologies would acquire the chip manufacturer for in cash.

American International Group - The insurer said it would sell its plane-leasing business to AerCap Holdings for $3 billion in cash and 97.6 million shares.

Cirrus Logic - The audio-chip maker's stock is under pressure after Oppenheimer downgraded its shares to underperform from market perform.

Sprint - The wireless carrier rose on a Wall Street Journal report that it was mulling making an offer for T-Mobile US.

Time Warner Cable - Shares of the cable company rose after the New York Post reported Cablevision Systems could get private-equity backing to make an offer for parts of Time Warner Cable.
