Google's Glass product went on sale in the U.S. Tuesday.

"Any adult in the U.S. can become an Explorer by visiting our site and purchasing Glass for $1,500 + tax—and it now comes with your favorite shade or frame, thanks to feedback from our current Explorers," the company said in a blog post last week.

The tech giant said the number of spots in its newly extended Glass Explorer Program are limited. The product will not be available outside of the U.S.
