The momentum stock massacre this week on Wall Street has "created an interesting buying opportunity" in some of the high-flying technology names, RBC Capital Markets Internet analyst Mark Mahaney told CNBC on Friday.
"We've had a selling off of the stocks that most outperformed," he said in a "Squawk Box" interview. "The stocks that have traded off the least are the ones that underperformed."
Mahaney provided two other reasons that investors might want to consider buying the fallout in Facebook, Google, eBay and Priceline.
