After-hours buzz: Lorillard, NetApp, Rexnord & more

Check out which companies are making headlines after the bell Wednesday:

Lorillard - Shares of the cigarette maker rallied in after-hours trading after Reuters reported Reynolds American was in advanced talks to acquire the company.

NetApp - The provider of storage systems for information technology tallied fourth-quarter earnings per share of 59 cents on $1.65 billion in revenue, versus estimates calling for EPS of 79 cents on $1.67 billion in sales. Shares declined in after-hours trading.

Rexnord - The industrial company posted fourth-quarter adjusted earnings per share of 50 cents on $569.7 million in revenue. Expectations called for EPS of 47 cents on $583 million in sales. Its shares rose in after-hours trading.

Synopsys - The supplier of electronic design automation software posted second-quarter adjusted earnings per share of 65 cents on $517.7 million in revenue, compared to expectations of EPS of 59 cents on $512 million in sales. Its shares edged lower in after-hours trading.

Williams-Sonoma - The home products retailer reported first-quarter earnings per share of 48 cents on $974.3 million in revenue, versus expectations of EPS of 44 cents on $942 million in sales. Shares surged in after-hours trading.
