EBay is looking to transition from the bargain bin to high-fashion.

According to an article in Women's Wear Daily, the online retailer made famous by its auction-style sales launched on Tuesday an initiative called Designer Collective, which sells 16 fashion labels at full price.

Among the brands offered are PVH-owned Calvin Klein, True Religion, Rebecca Minkoff and Nicole Miller. A slew of other labels are in the works to join the site.

EBay isn't the only online retailer looking to ramp up its fashion resume. Amazon has also been looking to gain a foothold in the fashion industry and sells brands such as Kate Spade, Rebecca Minkoff and Badgley Mischka.
