Breaking News: CNBC's Becky Quick Speaks with IAC's Barry Diller About Aereo

WHEN: TODAY, WEDNESDAY, JUNE 25TH

WHERE: CNBC'S "SQUAWK ON THE STREET"

Following is the unofficial transcript of CNBC's Becky Quick's conversation with IAC's Barry Diller about Aereo. All references must be sourced to CNBC.

BECKY QUICK: IN THE DAYS LEADING UP TO THIS, THE MONTHS LEADING UP TO THIS THERE HAD BEEN NO SHORTAGE OF PEOPLE SAYING THAT EVERYTHING WAS RIDING ON THIS INCLUDING THE KEY INVESTOR IN AEREO BARRY DILLER. HE HAD SAID IN THE PAST THAT THINGS WOULD BE OVER IF THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN. I JUST REACHED HIM. BARRY DILLER IS OUT OF THE COUNTRY RIGHT NOW BUT DOES SAY "I DO THINK IT IS A BIG LOSS FOR CONSUMERS WANTING AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE BUNDLE. WE DID TRY, BUT NOW IT'S OVER." SO THOSE ARE HIS COMMENTS "IT'S OVER." HE HAD SAID LEADING INTO THIS THAT IF THE SUPREME COURT RULED AGAINST AEREO IT WOULD BE OVER FOR THAT COMPANY AND THAT IS WHAT HE IS SAYING IN THE WAKE OF THIS RULING AS WELL. A COMMENT FROM BARRY DILLER, "WE DID TRY, BUT IT'S OVER NOW."
