The family of a scarred girl, whose grandmother claims a Mississippi KFC employee kicked them out of a restaurant because of the girl's appearance, will not accept the fast-food chain's $30,000 donation for medical expenses, The Clarion-Ledger reported.
The family "didn't feel it was appropriate to accept it after everything KFC has done," the family's lawyer Bill Kellum told the Jackson, Mississippi newspaper.

Kelly Mullins maintains that an employee at a Jackson KFC asked her three-year-old granddaughter Victoria Wilcher to leave the restaurant on May 15 because her appearance scared customers. Wilcher lost her right eye and suffered facial fractures in April after she was mauled by three pit bulls at her grandfather's home.
KFC previously said two investigations yielded no evidence that the pair was kicked out of the restaurant. Kellum, the family's lawyer, told The Clarion-Ledger KFC has been encouraged to donate the money to the Frank Stile Foundation, a nonprofit linked to Stile, a Las Vegas plastic surgeon who will perform Victoria's cosmetic surgeries.
Yum Brands is the parent company of KFC.
