Boehner pushes to sue the president

Writing for CNN.com, U.S. Speaker of the House John Boehner said that his party will bring legislation before the floor of his chamber later this month to sue President Barack Obama.

The lawsuit, , will be an "effort to compel President Obama to follow his oath of office and faithfully execute the laws of our country," the Speaker wrote.

Accusing the president of a "flippant dismissal of the Constitution," Boehner attacked Obama for slow economic growth deriving from a "habit of ignoring the law as written."

Beyond economic issues, Boehner's commentary also argued that the president "has not faithfully executed the laws" on topics including health care, energy regulations, foreign policy, and education.
