Tim Love

Tim Love has a freewheeling personality that's as bold as the signature, western cuisine he serves at his famous Texas restaurants.

Tim went to college for marketing and finance but while working his way through school in kitchens, he fell in love with food and cooking, and he's never looked back. Tim became an award winning chef, running restaurants from Knoxville, Tennessee to Boulder, Colorado but eventually settled down in his native Texas. In 2000, he opened his flagship location, Lonesome Dove Western Bistro, in Fort Worth's historic Stockyards district. His fresh take on such exotic meats as wild boar, kangaroo and rattlesnake gained him the notoriety to expand throughout the Lone Star State.

Today, Tim oversees a bona fide restaurant empire. He opened the Woodshed Smokehouse, which was named one of Bon Appétit's "50 Best New Restaurants" in 2012, and the following year he opened Queenie's, a contemporary take on a classic American steakhouse.

In 2013, Tim was one of the featured culinary talents on "Top Chef: The Cruise." He received glowing praise from The New York Times, who called him "one of the best…." And went on to say: "Mr. Love seemed to effortlessly find a balance between passing on knowledge and entertaining us."

Tim has appeared on such high-profile national television shows as Bravo's "Top Chef Masters," NBC's "TODAY Show" and the Food Network's "Iron Chef America." In addition to The New York Times and Bon Appétit, Tim has also been featured in such national publications as, the Wall Street Journal and People.
