After-hours buzz: Advent, Cognex, Herbalife & More

Check out which companies are making headlines after the bell Monday:

Advent Software - The provider of work-flow software reported second-quarter earnings per share of 38 cents, excluding items, on $100.4 million in revenue. Analysts had estimated EPS of 34 cents on $98 million in sales. Its shares rose in after-hours trading.

Cognex - The provider of machine-vision products posted second-quarter results that beat expectations, with its shares rallying in after-hours trading.

Herbalife - The seller of nutritional products reported second-quarter earnings per share of $1.55, excluding items, on $1.31 billion in revenue. Analysts had estimated EPS of $1.56 on $1.36 billion in sales. Its shares declined in after-hours trading.


Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings - The cruise operator reported second-quarter earnings per share of 58 cents, excluding items, on $766 million in revenue, compared to estimates of EPS of 57 cents on $798 million in sales. Its shares slid in after-hours trade.

Plum Creek Timber Co. - The real estate investment trust reported second-quarter results, with its shares dropping in after-hours trading.
