Philippine Q2 GDP expands 6.4%, above forecast

The Philippine economy grew an annual 6.4 percent in the second quarter, above market forecasts, supported by strong growth in the industrial and services sectors, the government said on Thursday.

Economists polled by Reuters had forecast the economy would expand 6.2 percent, faster than the revised annual growth of 5.6 percent in the March quarter.
