A North Carolina man faces two charges after being arrested on suspicion of trying to sell crushed Pop-Tarts—as crack cocaine, a TV station's website reported.

While making deliveries to convenience stores on June 19, 30-year-old Cameron Mitchell tried to pass off the snack crumbs as cocaine in a $20 sale to an undercover cop, deputies said, according to WITN.com of Greenville, North Carolina.

When the police found the substance had no cocaine, they followed Mitchell and arrested him, later charging him with selling or delivering a counterfeit controlled substance and creating a counterfeit controlled substance, the website said in its Sept. 5 post.
