Don't overlook a game-changer, especially when it comes to breakthrough technology.

Earlier in October, Hewlett-Packard announced plans to break itself into two pieces, a PC and printer company called HP Inc., and an enterprise information technology business called Hewlett-Packard Enterprise. And boy, have they been busy.

Jim Cramer spoke with Dion Weisler, the current executive vice president of Hewlett-Packard's printing and personal system business who will soon become the CEO of HP Inc.

Though the split is far from being completed, there is already big news in the pipeline for Hewlett-Packard. Dion announced that the company has come up with its own 3-D printing ecosystem, along with a new computing platform designed to create an easier hands-on experience called Sprout.

Cramer thinks this is a game-changer, and so does Dion.

The new 3-D printing technology prints 10 times the speed of the fastest product on the market, with extreme accuracy, and isn't 10 times the expense of the current technologies available.

"It is those three things combined together, that really makes this revolutionary. This could quite possibly be the trigger for the next industrial revolution. I think that is profound," added Dion.

In Cramer's opinion, that is a big claim to make. However, Dion was confident that the new ecosystem will be a technological breakthrough.

"The traditional thinking is to just create a new piece of hardware. That's really not enough, if you want to create an experience, you need to rethink the whole ecosystem. And that is an ecosystem that blends all of these new breakthrough technologies that we have within the product," said Dion.
