Hammerhead shark stalks kayakers in Flordia

A 13-foot hammerhead shark got up close and personal with a pair of kayakers off the coast of Palm Beach, Florida, last week.

The shark followed the kayakers for nearly 2 miles, they told the Sun Sentinel newspaper, and the predator bumped into one of their kayaks before swimming off. The kayakers, Mark Naumovitz and Brian Nelli, emerged unscathed, and with great video of the shark.

The two had been lugging a 16-pound Mahi back to shore when the hammerhead shark appeared.
