Investor buys Google, other ‘platform’ plays

Ann Winblad, member of the "Squawk Box" Platinum Portfolio Challenge, likes three tech companies including Google that form the backbone of Silicon Valley.

The co-founder of Hummer Winblad Venture Partners said she looks for "companies that have clear business models" and create platforms that software ecosystems depend on.
