Gold heist at Wells Fargo museum

In a brazen early morning robbery, three masked men used an SUV to smash their way into the San Francisco Wells Fargo History museum pilfering 10 ounces of gold, the L.A. Times reported.

According to the publication, one of the men held a security guard that arrived on scene at gunpoint, while the others gathered the gold nuggets. The men reportedly used a second vehicle to escape the scene.

"We are cooperating with the San Francisco Police Department's investigation," Wells Fargo spokesman Ruben Pulido said in a statement. "We're disturbed this happened to the Wells Fargo History Museum but are grateful no team member was harmed. Additionally, the historic stagecoaches on site were not damaged."
