A library in Moscow containing ancient Slavic texts, important U.N. documents and around 14 million books went up in flames on the evening of January 29, according to Quartz.

Flames engulfed INION, or the Institute of Scientific Information on Social Sciences, after a fire broke out on the third floor. Firefighters were eventually able to contain the fire, but the library had already suffered extensive damage including a partial roof collapse.
