Google Chief Financial Officer Patrick Pichette is retiring from the search giant after nearly seven years in the position, he said on Tuesday.
"I will be retiring from Google to spend more time with my family," he wrote in a Google Plus post.

Pichette, who joined the company in 2008, told Google that he planned to retire earlier this month, according to an SEC filing. His exit follows last month's news that Alan Eustace, senior vice president of knowledge, would leave the company after 13 years.
A date has not been set for Pichette's departure, but he will help Google find a successor.
"To be clear, I am still here. I wish to transition over the coming months but only after we have found a new Google CFO and help him/her through an orderly transition, which will take some time," he wrote.
Google expects the transition to take place in the next six months, according to the filing.
Pichette has worked in finance and management in the telecommunications sector for nearly 20 years, according to Google's website. Before joining the company, he was CFO at Bell Canada.
