Taco Bell meets Cap’n Crunch in new dessert

Get ready to relive your childhood: Yum Brands' Taco Bell is testing a combination of Cap'n Crunch's Crunch Berries cereal and a doughnut hole with icing, reports Nation's Restaurant News.

Locations Bakersfield, California, are now testing the dessert, which sells for two for a buck or four for $1.69.

The item is the latest co-branded item for Taco Bell, which is well known for such innovative mash-ups, including its Doritos Locos Taco and Cinnabon Delights.

The Doritos partnership has been especially lucrative for Taco Bell. Last summer, Yum Chairman and CEO David Novak noted two of the Doritos Locos tacos ranked as "two of the most popular product introductions in the history of our entire category, not just Taco Bell."
