Willie Nelson may be 81, but it's never too late to get on the road again when it comes to entrepreneurship. The singer-songwriter is behind a new brand of marijuana and smoking accessories, according to The Daily Beast.

The website interviewed Michael Bowman, a pot activist who claims to be leading a new weed venture in coordination with the Nelson family. Bowman said Nelson Reserve will be a "connoisseur" weed brand and will have brick-and-mortar stores in states where marijuana is legal.

Nelson Reserve stores will include branded bongs and a custom strain of marijuana, as well as strains from other growers, Bowman said. Small, artisanal growers will get preference, and growers must meet carbon emissions and environmental standards—a model Bowman called "the anti-Walmart model. "

Nelson's publicist declined to comment to CNBC on Nelson's involvement, though Bowman called the brand a "culmination of Willie's vision."
