After-hours buzz: Teck, Blackstone, Axalta & more

Check out the companies making headlines after the bell Monday:

Teck Resources Limited - The mining and mineral development firm shot down reports of a possible merger with copper miner Antofagasta. Teck shares tumbled nearly 8 percent in after-hours trading after rising some 10 percent during the regular session.

Blackstone Group - The asset management firm will pay more than $1.2 billion to Paulson for three large hotels, Dow Jones reported, citing unnamed sources. The stock inched higher in extended trading.

Axalta Coating - The stock fell more than 1 percent after it commenced a secondary offering of 35 million common shares.

Vipshop - Shares edged lower after the e-retailer said its senior vice president would resign.

DryShips - Shares rose about 2 percent after the marine shipping company announced plans to sell its tanker fleet.
