Fortinet's quarterly earnings beat bodes well for the wider network security industry, CNBC "Fast Money" trader Guy Adami said on Monday.
"To me, you're in the golden era of these companies. Rising tides lift all boats," he said.
Fortinet spiked 9 percent, above $37 per share, in extended trading Monday after the company posted better than expected first-quarter results. For trader Pete Najarian, Fortinet's quarter looked "across the board very impressive."

Still, Adami believes Palo Alto Networks provides the most upside in the sector, while FireEye "might give you the most beta right now." Both stocks closed higher on Monday.
Traders also discussed how to trade some technology names outside the cybersecurity sphere.
Search and technology giant Google reports its quarterly earnings on Thursday, and Adami believes it "sets up really interesting."
"I think this rallies into the release," he said.

The company's Class C stock rose 2 percent, above $535 per share, on Monday.
Baidu
Trader Dan Nathan said he has "been looking for an entry" into U.S.-listed shares of Chinese Internet company Baidu. The stock closed 2 percent higher, around $211 per share.
