Actor William Shatner is planning to start a Kickstarter campaign to raise $30 billion dollars, according to an interview with Yahoo. The goal: to build a pipeline from Seattle to help fix California's drought problem. (Tweet this)
"No, it's simple," Shatner told Yahoo. "They did it in Alaska—why can't they do it along Highway 5? This whole area's about to go under!"

The 84-year-old wants to build a water pipeline to take some of Seattle's rain down to Lake Mead in Nevada which will then push water to California, Arizona and Nevada. The pipeline would run alongside Interstate 5.
"If I don't make 30 billion, I'll give the money to a politician who says, 'I'll build it.' Obviously, it's to raise awareness that something more than just closing your tap … so why not a pipeline?" he told Yahoo's David Pogue.
