An unfaithful tech-crazy guy has been taught a lesson he won't forget by his long-suffering girlfriend.
A tweet complete with a photo of a bathtub full of drowning electronic gadgets has been doing the rounds on social media.
"Got caught cheating but isn't dumping all my gadgets in the bath too messed up?"
Japanese user @foolishnessfly2 was found out by his girlfriend who then sent him a picture of his Apple gadgets sinking in a bathtub full of water.
The cheating man appears to be based around Osaka in western Japan, judging by his dialect and multiple tweets on Koshien, home to the Hanshin Tigers baseball team.
Apparently, his girlfriend sent the photo of his drowned gadgets to his work flip phone, @foolishnessfly2 replied in response to another tweeter's question on how he managed to take the photo, but he doesn't explain how he tweeted the photo.
CNBC couldn't independently verify the authenticity of the tweeter or the photo, although "foolishnessfly2" seems to be basking in the attention and is retweeting references to his tweet going viral.
Originally tweeted on April 18, the post has been retweeted more than 17,000 times and favorited 11,297 times, as of early morning April 23.
