If you're sporting silver locks by chance, you could be on to the hottest fashion trend.

Amazon's U.K. site has reported an 83 percent spike in sales of gray hair colour products year-on-year, citing the popularity of "silver foxes" like George Clooney, and "granny hair" mavens like Lady Gaga, Hilary Duff and Rihanna.

"No longer something to hide, gray hair has emerged as the latest beauty trend," Xavier Garambois, vice president of EU Retail at Amazon, said in a press release.

"Perhaps one of the most surprising style successes of the year so far, gray hair has been seen everywhere from catwalks to high streets up and down the country."

Two women's products topped the list, including Renbow Hair Colour Cream in Silver, which has seen sales jump over 200 percent since January 2015. Sales of men's products, meanwhile, were up 20 percent since the start of the year.

Other trend-setting silver celebs include actress Judi Dench, singer Robbie Williams and Great British Bake-Off star Paul Hollywood – all of whom are credited with popularizing the trend
