Pall nears sale that sets its value above $10B: DJ

Pall, a maker of fluid filtration systems, is nearing a possible sale that could value the company at more than $10 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday, citing sources.

Technology companies Danaher and Thermo Fisher Scientific are expected to bid later this week, but potential prices are unknown and no deal is certain, Dow Jones reported.

Pall shares shot more than 17 percent higher in extended trading Monday. At the day's close, Pall's market capitalization sat at about $10.6 billion.

The company took in revenue of $2.8 billion last year.

Pall did not immediately return a request to comment.
