The Internet is not happy with fashion house Lilly Pulitzer.

The Cut's photo tour of Lilly's offices in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, showcases a slew of bright floral patterns and smiling faces. But one image, in particular, caught readers' attention.

It shows two illustrations, hung on the wall at the headquarters. One reads: "Just another day of fat, white and hideous. You should probably just kill yourself." While the other reads, "Put it down carb face." The caption notes that the image "shows the personal illustrations of an employee."

Twitter users aren't taking it lightly. Loyal customers and those new to the company have expressed an overwhelming negative reaction to the "fat-shaming" illustrations.

"These illustrations were the work of one individual and were posted in her personal work area. While we are an employer that does encourage people to decorate their own space, we are a female-dominated company and these images do not reflect our values. We apologize for any harm this may have caused," Jane Schoenborn, vice president of creative communications at Lilly Pulitzer, told CNBC.

The company, known for pricey apparel, also garnered after its much-anticipated debut of Lilly for Target. After the product line release, Lilly Pulitzer and Target were both under fire for lack of product availability.
