But wait, wasn't it just National Donut Day? Nope, that was National Doughnut Day on November 5.
And it do-nut stop there.
The Internet is full of several iterations devoted to the sugary doughnut. This means fans who miss out today for whatever reason—swimsuit season?—have at least three more chances to celebrate throughout the year.
After all, National Jelly-Filled Doughnut Day is just around the corner on June 8. National Cream-Filled Doughnut Day pops up on September 14. Shortly before the sugary excess of Halloween, we have Buy a Doughnut Day on October 30.

For those limiting their splurges, National Donut Day appears to have the longest lineage in the foodie sphere.
Started in 1938, it first began in Chicago to raise money during the Great Depression and honor the "Donut Lassies" who served soldiers the treats during World War I.
