Best in the Dow: JPMorgan Chase (JPM), up 3 percent this week Source: FactSet Shares of the largest bank in the U.S. reached an all-time high Friday, after a strong jobs report reaffirmed expectations for a potential rate hike by the Fed in September. As CNBC Pro highlighted this week, banks are among the biggest beneficiaries of a rate increase due to expanding margins, which result from the spread between what they have to pay depositors and what they can charge borrowers. Since reaching a four-month low in February, ticker JPM is up 25 percent. Although the recent surge put shares of the bank close to the 12-month consensus expectations of $70, or 4 percent away from where it trades, sentiment on the Street remains upbeat. "We continue to think JPM offers a unique blend of quality and value," wrote Oppenheimer analyst Chris Kotowski in a note to clients, rating the stock a "buy" with a target price of $81, implying a 20 percent upside move from here. Best in the S & P 500: Zions Bancorporation (ZION), up 10 percent this week Source: FactSet Shares of the regional bank are on track for their biggest weekly gain in more than three years, following a corporate restructuring that will consolidate seven bank charters into one unit, while maintaining local operations. After the announcement, analysts at Guggenheim Securities, Evercore ISI and CLSA upgraded the stock to a "buy." Here's what Guggenheim Securities' analyst David Darst wrote in the note: "We believe investors should begin to build positions in ZION today as the combination of company-specific actions, prospects for capital return and more favorable asset-sensitive profile provides investors with multiple potential catalysts for value creation over a 2015 to 2018 investment horizon." The research firm believes ticker ZION could hit $34 in the next 12 months, implying a 7 percent move from here. Best in the Nasdaq 100: Wynn Resorts (WYNN), up 7 percent this week Source: FactSet Shares of the casino operator bounced back from a 52-week low on reports citing speculation of a potential merger with MGM Resorts International. In the past 12 months, shares of Wynn Resorts are down 50 percent, on the back of weak revenue trends in Las Vegas and Macau, its two biggest markets. Despite this week's gains, the sentiment on the Street leans on the bearish side for the group. Here's what Stifel analysts wrote in a recent note to clients, rating the stock a "hold": "We expect Mr. Wynn's downbeat near-term expectations for the Macau and Las Vegas markets, as articulated on the company's 1Q15 earnings call and through a two-thirds reduction in WYNN's ordinary quarterly dividend ($1.50/share to $0.50/share), to pressure shares across the gaming operator group." Best in the S & P MidCap 400: Guess? (GES), up 13 percent this week Source: FactSet Shares of the retailer are on track for their best weekly gain since November 2010, after reporting better-than-expected quarterly results, while also raising its full-year guidance. Despite a mixed reaction to the tape, the sentiment on the Street remains muted, with the consensus rating on the stock a "hold." So far this year, ticker GES is down 6 percent, while short interest remains elevated at 20 percent. Here's what Piper Jaffray analysts wrote after the earnings release: "While we are encouraged by the improved results for GES, which reported a better quarter and raised its FY16 guidance, we remain UW [Underweight] shares as we still need to see sustained evidence that the product initiatives underway can help return comp-store sales, particularly in North America, to consistent levels." Best in the Russell 2000: ImmunoGen (IMGN), up 62 percent this week Source: FactSet Shares of the biotech company soared this week, after reporting encouraging phase one trial results of its experimental ovarian cancer treatment, mirvetuximab soravtansine. But analysts at Stifel reiterated a "sell" rating on the stock due to concerns of previous failures by other competitors. Here's what the note said: "While we view these results as intriguing, we await additional data from a planned Phase 2 program and note that the company continues to spend a significant amount of money for what is still an early stage pipeline."
