Don't act so surprised – we knew he'd be back.

Starting this week, Arnold Schwarzenegger will provide turn-by-turn directions as his famous character from the "Terminator" franchise for the community-based traffic and navigation app Waze.

"Every single day on social media fans ask me to record my movie lines, so now I get to bring this classic role and my charming Austrian accent into their cars," Schwarzenegger said in a press release.

Waze was able to snag the actor and former California governor while promoting his next film "Terminator Genisys" as part of a partnership with Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions.

Complete with a "hasta la vista, baby" at the end of each trip, a handful of Schwarzenegger's well-known "Terminator" phrases are used during navigation.

Waze has worked with other famous voices, as well: Actor Kevin Hart and former football player Terry Crews have both worked with the navigation app while promoting upcoming projects. Over the last few years, the app has skyrocketed in growth. It has 50 million users and was acquired by Google in June 2013 for a reported $1.3 billion.

While Waze is no stranger to success or celebrity voice-overs, this partnership is laced with a bit of irony – or at least Arnold Schwarzenegger thinks so.

"In 1984, when we did (the first) 'Terminator,' we talked about the world being run by machines. It was science fiction then," he told USA Today. "Now you have machines telling you where to drive."
