Craft brewery to Trump: You're fired!

A Chicago-area craft brewer is the latest business to tell Donald Trump he's fired.

5 Rabbit Brewery said Monday it would no longer be providing an exclusive private label beer for Rebar, a bar and lounge located in Chicago's Trump International Hotel & Tower. (Tweet this)

Andres Araya, the Costa Rican-born founder and CEO of 5 Rabbit, released a written statement to Chicago's WBEZ radio which reads in part that "we would be doing an injustice to the community we serve (and live in) by engaging in business with someone who does not accept our role in society and expresses a rhetoric of hate and ignorance towards us."

"As a company, an integral part of our vision reads that we are 'not only based in, but also look to promote a strong and positive image of Latin America, its heritage and people," he added. "It would be hypocritical of us to sustain the relationship."

Araya said the remaining beer from the partnership, about 50 kegs of a summer golden ale, would be sold to bars around the Chicago area.

Trump has been intensely criticized for while announcing his bid for President.

NBC Universal, the parent of CNBC and CNBC.com, announced Monday it would and Univision said last week it would cancel its coverage of the Miss Universe pageant.
