The chairman and founder of Navellier & Associates said the economy in the U.S. is an "oasis" compared to the unraveling "chaos" over the Greek debt situation. As a result, he's using the recent pullback in the U.S. market to bet on certain stocks he believes are poised to advance. The notable investor, who uses sales and earnings momentum quantitative models to pick stocks, is bullish on Monster Beverage and drone chip provider Ambarella . Shares of Monster Beverage, which makes energy drinks, are up 92 percent in the past year. "In the long term, I expect Monster Beverage to be bought by Coca-Cola ," said Navellier, pointing to the company's strong earnings. According to his estimates, ticker MNST is projected to post 10 percent annual sales growth in the second quarter, while showing an increase of 12 percent in annual earnings. In the past year, the stock is up more than 212 percent. Based on Navellier's estimates, this chipmaker is expected to post annual sales growth in the tune of 74 percent and an increase of 119 percent in earnings. Another of his favorite picks is Centene , a multinational health-care company that recently made a $6 billion bid for Health Net. Since hitting an all-time high July 2, the stock has fallen 16 percent on concerns of a potential bid from a rival. The recent drop, according to Navellier, is a buying opportunity. He predicts the company will expand annual sales by 38 percent and show earnings growth of 73 percent. Even with the stock's decline, shares of ticker CNC are up 77 percent in the past year.
