Intel jumps into reality TV

Intel is diversifying its business in an unexpected fashion.

The chipmaking giant's CEO, Brian Krzanich said at an event on Tuesday that the company is developing a reality TV contest show spearheaded by Mark Burnett, the creator of "Survivor" and Turner Broadcasting, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The show's working title is "America's Greatest Makers" and will consist of competitors creating different wearable devices, the newspaper reported. The winner will receive $1 million and the show is slated to come on air next year, the report added.
