LG has canceled the rollout of the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition due to a "hardware issue," the company confirmed Friday. It will decide "at a later time" whether the device will become available again.

"Late in the quality-assurance process for the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE, our engineers were made aware of a hardware issue which affects the day-to-day functionality of the device," LG said in a statement.

The device runs on Google's Android Wear platform and has LTE data connectivity.

AT&T confirmed it told customers who bought the watch they can receive a refund. AT&T started selling the model last week.

Verizon was scheduled to start selling it Friday but confirmed it had canceled the launch.
